Here I leave you the recipe of one of the cakes we could taste in our tea party: Carrot Cake.
It is very easy to make, you should give it a try!! Mmmmmm...yummy scrummy!!
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Place the sugar and oil in a bowl and beat for 2-3 minutes. Add the eggs gradually and whisk well. Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon and ginger over the sugar mixture. Add the carrot and the walnuts and mix until just combined. Pour the mixture into a greased cake tin and bake for 55-60 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer (It might take a bit longer than 60 minutes, depending on the oven). Cool in tin.
